Updating firmware for link as modem kive dating

To upgrade the firmware of your router, you will first need todownload the required files from the D-Link Support page for thisrouter. Click on Browse, browse to andselect the file that you saved before, then click on Update Firmware or Firmware. The router will then copy the new firmware into its memory andperform the update, after which it will reboot. Then you can install the german firmware file and then install DD-WRT.

This is a pretty easy firmware upgrade with one catch.

If your router’s Serial Number begins with 12, then you will need to perform an additional step before converting to DD-WRT.

If you need more space for a wireless update, you can update using i Tunes or delete content manually from your device.

Whether you use i Tunes or update wirelessly, you'll have the same amount of free space on your device after you update.
