Cam world adult - Access updating using linked tables

The SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA) for Office Access enables you to convert an Office Access database to this type of application by moving your Office Access data to new SQL Server tables and linking to these tables.

Any forms, reports, queries, or code that previously worked with the original Office Access tables are automatically connected to the new SQL Server tables.

A split database architecture is best for developing, maintaining, and deploying Microsoft Access applications.

The front-end database contains all the Access objects except the tables which reside in a separate back-end Access Jet database.

SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA) for Access backs up the original Access table and creates a linked table.

After you link the tables, the tables in SSMA will appear with a small link icon.

When you link an Access table to a SQL Server or SQL Azure table, the Jet database engine stores connection information and table metadata, but the data is stored in SQL Server or SQL Azure.

This lets your Access applications operate against the Access tables even though the actual tables and data are in SQL Server or SQL Azure.

Some people settle for this but there may be a simple way to significantly improve performance. This is not a big deal for a single MS Access database application which would create the lock file when the database is opened and maintain it until the database is closed.
